A new leak has come out with information about Red Dead Redemption coming to PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 in a physical version.
One day, after people found out that a PS5 disc version was showing up at stores in Spain, a trusted insider named Billbil-kun from Dealabs shared more details. According to this report, people in Europe can buy copies of Red Dead Redemption on May 7, 2026, for both PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
Switch 2 Version Has a Catch
There is something important that Switch 2 players need to know.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version will be sold as a “Code-in-a-Box,” which means the box will not have a game cartridge inside. Instead, it will have a download code that you can use on the Nintendo eShop.
Many fans might not like this, but those who like to collect physical cartridges do.
If you want a cartridge, you can buy the original Nintendo Switch version. The good thing is that people who own the cartridge and those who bought it digitally can get a free upgrade for Switch 2.
To get this upgrade, you need to make sure your copy of Red Dead Redemption is updated on your Switch 2 console.
Price Details
The price that was leaked for the PS5 and Switch 2 retail editions is €34.99.
This is €15 cheaper than the price of the digital version.
The physical edition will have the base game, the Undead Nightmare expansion, and the Game of the Year Edition content just like the digital release.
However, it will not include the multiplayer mode.
Far Rockstar Games has not said anything official about these physical versions of Red Dead Redemption.
